Referral terms

Who can take part

Any farm using FarmHQ with its records backed up can refer other farms. You need to be 18 or over. Official affiliates take part under a separate written agreement with us. Where that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement wins.

Your code, link and QR code

Your farm gets one referral code, a link (farmhq.ai/r/your-code) and a QR code. You can share them with anyone you think FarmHQ would help. When you do:

• don't send messages people haven't asked for in bulk;
• don't pretend to be FarmHQ, or say you work for us;
• don't promise discounts or anything else we don't offer;
• don't pay for adverts that use the FarmHQ name.

Your farm's name appears on your invite page, so the farm you send knows who sent them.

When a farm counts as yours

A farm counts as referred by you when any one of these happens:

• it's set up with your code;
• it's set up on the same internet connection within 3 days of your link being opened there;
• its owner adds your code in the app within 30 days of setting up;
• we add it for you, for example when your code was forgotten.

A farm can only have one referrer. The first one recorded stays. We don't move farms between referrers. Our records decide who referred whom.

What you earn

You earn a share of what a farm you referred pays FarmHQ for its subscription. That includes plans bought through the App Store or our website, and anything else we sell through FarmHQ that we record against that farm. The share is worked out on the full price the farm paid, including VAT.

• Referrer: 10%. Every farm starts here.
• Affiliate: 15%. Once three farms you referred have each paid us at least once. A farm refunded in full stops counting. If that takes you below three, you go back to 10%.
• Official affiliate: the rate in your written agreement.

Your share is worked out at your rate on the day each payment reaches us. Money already earned isn't recalculated when your rate changes. You keep earning for as long as the farm keeps paying and the scheme runs.

Refunds

If a payment is refunded or reversed, your share of it comes off what you're owed, at the rate it was paid. If we'd already paid it to you, it comes off your future earnings. We won't ask you to pay it back unless the referral broke these terms.

Getting paid

• We pay by bank transfer to a UK bank account, in pounds, in the first week of each month.
• Money becomes ready to pay 30 days after the payment it came from.
• We pay once at least £20 is ready. Less than that carries over to the next month.
• Before your first payout we'll contact you through the app or by phone for your bank details. We don't store them in the FarmHQ app.
• The app shows what you've earned, what we've paid you, and what's ready for the next payout.

Tax

Referral earnings are your income. It's up to you to declare them to HMRC if you need to. We don't deduct tax. Taking part doesn't make you our employee, agent or partner, and you can't make promises on our behalf.

What isn't allowed

You can't earn from:

• your own farm, or farms you set up to refer yourself;
• a farm that refers you back;
• subscriptions you pay for, or pay someone else to take out, to earn commission or reach Affiliate;
• referrals won by misleading people or by breaking section 2.

If we think a referral breaks these terms, we can hold back or cancel what it earned and switch off your code. We'll tell you why.

Changes and ending

We can change these terms or the rates. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice in the app and on this page. Money earned before a change keeps the rate it was earned at. We can end the scheme with 30 days' notice. If we do, we'll pay everything that's ready, even if it's under £20.

You can stop taking part at any time by telling us. If your FarmHQ account closes, we'll pay what you're owed once it's through the 30 days, even if it's under £20.

Your information

We record which farm referred which, every payment that earned you something, and every payout. As a referrer you see when each farm you sent joined, whether it's paying, and what it has earned you. You don't see its name or anything from its records. The farm you referred sees your farm's name. Everything else is covered by our privacy policy.
